Saturday morning my nipple started to hurt. (more on this later)
My sister and I started the day off by making cinnamon rolls and bacon. Then I showered and John and I met up with Max to go get our tattoos done. She got a tribal and I got this:
It’s about 5 and half inches across and right in the middle of my back. That picture was taken shortly after I got it so it’s sort of red and whatnot.
Afterwards we had lunch and went to Target before heading back to the island.
Sunday my nipple was hurting even more but I didn’t think much of it. Then that night I went from feeling fine to feeling like I had the worst flu ever. It was 90 degrees out but I was wrapped in a blanket, shaking and shivering with a killer headache. Every bone and joint in my body was sore and I was sick to my stomach.
I went to the ER yesterday morning and after waiting 3.5 hours I fianlly saw a doctor. I have Mastitis, which is an infection that breastfeeding mothers often get. So now I’m on an antibiotic and I’m taking it easy until it clears up because it can get really serious really fast.
After the hospital we went shopping for food at Trader Joe’s and then came home and ordered pizza. I went to bed early and am already feeling much better than the other night. I hope it clears up completely without problem so I can go back to being normal. I was so out of it yesterday that when the woman registering me at the ER asked my SSN and phone number, I had no idea what either were.
So now I’m going to eat quiche and lay down.
