092605A letter to my father

Dear Dad,

Please Fuck off.

Thanks,

Your daughter

When I started this site, I had only intended for two family members to see it, my cousin, and my sister. My father found it indirectly, and this wouldn’t be such a huge deal if he were, you know, not crazy.

That is, however, not the case. We’re talking about a man who periodically doesn’t pay child support, and who has a nasty havit of driving by the house just “because”.

Growing up, he was an alcoholic with a drug addiction. In the four years since he walked out of our lives, he’s done little but cause trouble. I have tried, on more than one occasion, to have some sort of relationship, but he seems to only want discord. That’s fine. He can find someone else to deal with.

I told him tonight to not contact me again. Anything from tonight on will be logged as harrassment.

It’s been a long week, and I’m trying to relax before NaNoWriMo, since I imagine that will drain me substantially.

I’m sorry that he managed to find your site, and that he’s causing trouble for you. You really don’t deserve that.

It has always been sort of a constant fear of mine that one of my family members will find me online. I’m more open about who I am online than my family knows about me. Essentially it would fuck up everything, majorly. So, although I can’t completely understand EXACTLY

Monique | Wednesday, September 28, 2005 @ 6:28 pm

Ahh! My Mum just knew about my site, and pretended that she’d found it, when really she hadn’t! I was so scared and worrried, there are just some things that it’s alright for total and utter strangers on teh otehr side of the world to know of you, but not your own mother. It’s tooo personal.
You can block his IP and stuff, can’t you? That must really suck.

You need to find out his IP and block him from your site. That’s just plain creepy! Good luck with this btw, because from what you said about him, he seems like one to keep stalking around.

It would be awful to be in a situation like that. I hope things work out the way that you need them too.
