John has often said “babies come with hats!”. The line is originally from The West Wing, but it’s been his mantra for most of The Monkey’s life.
The Monkey has two of the generic blue and white striped hats from the hospital. They’re cute, and I have them saved to show him when he’s older. I understand why infants need hats - to keep their tiny, cone-shaped heads warm. It is my firm belief that there is something even more important that should be given away with each baby.
